Amy's crazy outfits

Here a picture of one of Amy's outfits. She thought she was so beautiful and she danced all of the house all day. Luckily I was staying home that day to clean the house. This picture isn't the greatest, but she is wearing a dress that is a little too short, a shawl, a sleeveless vest and ballet slippers. At least everything was pink. The one below is from February. I am trying to remember to take her picture when she comes up with unique outfits, because I am sure I will forget about them if I don't. We also have to wear a dress that twirls everyday. This is can be a bit challenging at times. At least I bought mainly skorts for summer, because she loves skirts or dresses. She is a girly-girl.

Big boy bed

A couple of months ago we decided to put up Parker's firetruck bed. His aunt Gigi gave it to him when he was very small. Thanks Gigi, he loves his bed! David was trying to organize the garage so I told him he could set it up in Parker's room. I thought Amy and Parker would have fun playing on it. Parker has been wanting to sleep on it ever since. I have been very resistant because he is a great sleeper and I didn't want to mess that up.

On Friday I gave in and let him sleep in his "big boy bed." He didn't get up and slept all night in his new bed. Since Friday he has taken his naps there and slept in there at night, except once for his nap and once at night, when he wanted to sleep in his crib. Last night he came out of his room and took me to his room and pointed to his crib. I put him in his crib and he went right to sleep. I thought that maybe the fun had worn off, but he is sleeping in there tonight.

I'll give it a good month and then take the crib down. It is nice to let him transition slowly. It worked really well for Amy so we thought we would do the same for Parker. It was also a good motivator to teach Amy to stay in her bed. We would just threaten her that if she didn't stay in her bed we would put her in the crib. We haven't had to do that with Parker, yet. Like I said, the kid loves his sleep. I think he takes after his Daddy. Hopefully this continues and maybe potty training will go this well. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Favorite outfit

After I made all of these posts tonight I realized that Amy was wearing the same outfit in most of them. You can't tell that it is one of her favorite outfits right now :) At least it is cute. She can come up with some pretty wild and crazy outfits.

Pinkie Pie

Our local grocery store, Paul's, has a pink horse that only cost $.25 to ride and they have little shopping carts. Amy loves to go to Paul's because I let her ride Pinkie Pie and she gets to push a little shopping cart. The last time we went, though, Parker came a long and he didn't want to share the cart. Amy was a good sister and let him use it. Amy named the horse Pinkie Pie after the My Little Pony.

Trip to Utah

We went to Utah over Memorial Day weekend. We had fun visiting everyone. We were able to meet our newest nephew for the first time, Paxton. He is such a cutie and very happy. We enjoyed staying with David's brother and his wife and seeing everyone. As usually they all spoiled our kids. Amy loves that her aunt Gigi works at the Disney store, she thinks I should have a fun job like that. The Disney store is one of Amy's favorite stores. We wish that we all could live closer together. It was fun to see everyone.

We went to farm at Thanksgiving point and the kids loved it. They had two baby horses born the day we went. Amy and Parker were both able to ride on the ponies. Parker went twice because he loved it so much. Amy thought it was too bumpy.

I think we need a place like this at home to keep him out of trouble. :)

Amy wasn't smiling this much after the pony started to move. It was a little too bumpy for her.

First ride on the pony, you can see Amy behind Parker.
Parker's second ride on the pony.
Parker on the way to Utah. Both our kids our the best little travelers.

Looking cool in his new Cars shades.

Trip to Rexburg

The kids and I went to Rexburg the beginning of May for Hailey's 5th birthday. It was a fun trip and the kids had a great time. My parents came too. The kids and I shared a hotel room with my parents. It was a beautiful weekend in Rexburg and we went swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel. I didn't take any pictures of the whole weekend, but I did take a video of Amy riding Hailey's bike. She loved that bike. Thanks Hailey for sharing your bike! She has been riding her bike at home now. She was too scared before.

Amy's Spring Program for preschool

Amy had her spring program May 19th. She was very nervous about the whole thing. Her dad reminded her the night before and then she had a hard time getting sleep. She also didn't want to go to school the next day. Amy was a little shaky, but she did great. I didn't think she was singing, but she told me that she was just singing very softly and wasn't moving her mouth very much. During one part of the program she was suppose to say, "Hello, my name is Amy G___ and my favorite animal is ____." She would not say it, so her teacher had to say her name for her. The program was very cute and she did great.

Amy was suppose to be dancing, but her partner was a little girl that was crying.

Here is a little clip from the program. Little kids are so darn cute. On Amy's right side is the youngest girl in the class and Amy is the oldest. Amy looks so big compared to her, but she isn't quite 3 yet and Amy is 4 1/2.

This was Parker before the program started. He loved the risers and was just sitting there looking at all the parents. It probably wasn't the smartest move though. He didn't want to leave that spot when the kids came in. Oops! Dad had to take him to the back of the room and hold him.
