4th of July

We had a fun filled 4th of July this year. I was glad the kids were able to keep up so well. I took the kids to the Melba parade with grandma in the morning. After the parade we went to Roaring Springs for a barbecue lunch and a little play time in the water. We then took them home for a short nap. Amy of course didn't sleep, but Parker was more than happy to take a little nap. After naps we headed over to our friend's house. We had so much fun at their house and really enjoyed visiting with everyone. After dinner we all headed over to Melba to watch the fireworks. My parents joined us for the fireworks. The kids were up until about 11:30 that night and we had to get up for church in the morning. Amy told us it was the best day ever. She was so happy it was America's birthday.

I tried to get a group picture with the kids before the parade started, but my timing was a bit off. They could see the parade coming around the corner and they wouldn't look at Grandma for anything.

Parker and Amy playing at the Blackburn's house. They had fun jumping into the pool. Parker was the only one that would stop and look at the camera.

Amy getting ready to jump.

Parker loved to eat the ice while we were waiting for the fireworks. The only bad part about ice is that it is slippery. He kept dropping it and trying to pick it up out of the dirt. Yuk!

Amy with her friend McKenzie waiting for the fireworks. They loved this little chair. David likes to call McKenzie, Amy's birth sister because they were born the same day in the same hospital.
