912 Rally

I had my first experience with a political rally on September 12th. My sister and her kids joined me. It was fun and wouldn't mind doing it again. My sister was able to get a lot better pictures, but she hasn't sent them to me yet. I will have to add them later. We marched down Capital Blvd to the Capital where there was a small program. I was happy to see others I knew at the rally. I think it is great to see people starting to get involved. We need to be united if we do not want to see the government take over in things they have no business getting into.

Amy's school has a newsletter that comes out once a month. One article was about the constitution. I really like this paragraph,

"A powerful central government can disrupt the right to choose our own destiny. If we allow the government to do things for us, we give government power to tell us what we must do. When we tell government to do things for some people, it must forcible take from other people because people produce--government produces nothing. When government extracts from some people to give to others, it issues a death warrant to individual liberty."

President Gerald Ford said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have."
