This March we had the opportunity to take the kids skiing up at Bogus Basin. Parker was the only one brave enough to go. Amy decided to stay in the lodge with Grandma. David ended up not getting a pass because we figured we would be spending the whole time on the bunny hill with Parker. We also didn't get up to the hill until after dinner and it was cold and windy. So basically it would be a short night. I have never taught anyone to ski ever and I was a little bit nervous to take my 2 year old son down a mountain by myself, but we did it. I just put him between my legs and down we went. It was that hard. David wanted me to ski backwards with him, but I wasn't sure I could do that without falling. I haven't skied since before Amy was born. Thus the "retro" ski jacket. They are coming back into style I hear. Well Parker loved the ski lift. He did great going down the hill as well. We only went 3 times before he wanted to stop. He was very cold out and we kept losing his gloves. They were not staying on very well.

Trip to the Zoo
We decided to go to the zoo even though it wasn't a very warm day. You would never guess that it wasn't warm, because I can't keep coats on my kids. They are very warm blooded like their dad. It was still beautiful and there wasn't very many people. The animals were very active since it wasn't very warm. It was the first time we have been there in at least a year.

There are some days I feel like this
Parker had just got out of the tub and went into the play room. This is how we found him. I thought he was just playing while I was finishing Amy, but he had fallen asleep. This was a morning bath not a night time one. He woke up a bit too early on this day. I have always loved falling asleep after a bath or shower.

Big change
The beginning of March brought a big change for us. I changed my work days. This was done in anticipation to school starting in the fall. I wanted to go to that schedule in the fall, but my work wanted me to start a little sooner. I figured we might as well since with the old schedule we had something everyday of the week, either school or my work. With the new schedule we are all home together more often, but I am working a little more. Amy has different teachers as well. This is a picture of Amy's old teachers, Miss Beata is on her left and Miss Brooke is on her right. She loved them both and this is the hardest part about switching classes. Amy is also wearing her new twirly skirt that Grandma made her while she was visiting. The ballerina fabric is from her Great Aunt Anne. She loves this skirt and wears it whenever it is clean. I try to make sure it is only clean once a week or she would wear it everyday to school. :)

Valentine's Day hair
I love to do my daughter's hair and I love to follow hair blogs. I found this one at http://shaunellshair.blogspot.com/2010/02/little-girls-hairstyles-valentines-day.html I thought it turned out cute and it was pretty easy. We always do her hair in front of the TV or the computer. Otherwise she moves way too much.

Parker's dream come true
Parker is a true boy. He loves tools, motorcycles, train, cars, etc. He plays different than Amy. I am truely amazed at the distinct difference between boys and girls. They are born this way. Heavenly Father has a seperate role for males and females and we are born with it.
We went to Deseret Industries after doing our Lowe's projects and we found two identical motocycles. Now when we ask Parker about motocycles he says, Parker wants a little motocycles. He looks so cute on the little bike with his Mickey Mouse rain boots and Lowe's apron. You can tell he is 2.

Making Projects
David and I enjoy taking our kids to Lowe's to do their kid's clinics twice a month. Amy has been doing them for quite sometime, but Parker just started a few months ago. It is fun free activity and they enjoy making something to take home and then getting a patch for their apron. Parker really enjoys hammering. You just have to watch your thumbs with him. If you are too slow for him he will start taking nails and hammering them himself. Tools+Parker=Trouble
