Parker's hats

Parker loves hats, especially baseball caps. Sometimes he even insists on going to bed with his hats on. I had to take this picture of him sleeping with his hat on.

Dumped cereal

This is what happens when things get a little too quiet with a little boy around. I was in the other room when all of a sudden I heard the sound of cereal pouring and it wasn't stopping. Parker had managed to dump 3/4 of a large bag of cherrios on the living room floor. This isn't even all of it. I was starting to clean it up when Amy says to me, "Mom you should take of picture of this and put it on the blog." Smart girl so that is what I did. Parker was in timeout during this picture. Notice the green thing on the floor that is his binky that needs to go away. That is coming very soon. The good thing about this mess was that it was very easy to clean and I am grateful for that. At least there was no milk.

Disneyland without kids

David and I decided to take a trip to Disneyland in February without the kids. We were lucky that David's mom was able to come and watch the kids while we went. We were there for 5 days and really enjoyed our adult time. Disneyland is very fun with the kids, but it was fun to ride the big kid rides. We were there with David's brother and sister and their spouses. Everyone came without kids. It was very laid back and relaxing without the kids.

The kids had a lot of fun with grandma and they cannot wait for her to come again.

Hunting for Easter Eggs at Grandma and Grandpa's house

The day before we took the kids to a couple of community Easter egg hunts. At those hunts the eggs were just scattered across the grass. There was no searching involving. Only a mad dash for Easter eggs. Grandpa actually hid the Easter eggs. Parker thought the hunt was over when he saw his cousin get the few eggs he did see so he decided to go play. Dad had to help him out a bit. Amy knew exactly what to do. They had fun, but it was sure cold and windy.

Parker the little fireman

We went to an Easter egg hunt that had a fire engine. Parker was very excited to check it out. He looks so little compared to the big fire engine.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Amy has become my little poser for pictures. She use to hate to get her picture taken. Her is Amy coloring her egg pink of course. Her favortie colors right now are pink and purple.

This was the first year that Parker was excited to color Easter Eggs. He only wanted blue ones. He would only dip it (I mean drop it) really fast and then say all done. It was cute. I was glad I took his shirt off. I had some really shots of him, but with the blind open you couldn't see his face.

A rainbow of Easter eggs.

Amy was so happy to show off their eggs.

Parker's first time skiing

This March we had the opportunity to take the kids skiing up at Bogus Basin. Parker was the only one brave enough to go. Amy decided to stay in the lodge with Grandma. David ended up not getting a pass because we figured we would be spending the whole time on the bunny hill with Parker. We also didn't get up to the hill until after dinner and it was cold and windy. So basically it would be a short night. I have never taught anyone to ski ever and I was a little bit nervous to take my 2 year old son down a mountain by myself, but we did it. I just put him between my legs and down we went. It was that hard. David wanted me to ski backwards with him, but I wasn't sure I could do that without falling. I haven't skied since before Amy was born. Thus the "retro" ski jacket. They are coming back into style I hear. Well Parker loved the ski lift. He did great going down the hill as well. We only went 3 times before he wanted to stop. He was very cold out and we kept losing his gloves. They were not staying on very well.

Parker was wearing his Spiderman mask with has reflective eyes. So you can't see his face.

I asked David to take another picture with me covering up the reflectors, but David decided to chop my head off. Oh well!

Amy having fun in the lodge.
