Today was free fishing day. We took the kids over t0 the Nampa fish hatchery. David spent a lot of time putting bate on the hooks and casting. It was pretty crowded and hard to find a spot to fish. They provided bate and fishing poles. Parker was the first one to catch a fish. I had to help him real it in. He was pretty much done after that. When every he was holding the pole he wanted to real it in. He did understand you have to wait for the fish to get on the hook. Parker did catch anymore after that. Amy caught 4 fish, but she was a little bit more patient to sit and hold the pole. She didn't want to get close to the fish even for the picture.

Parker's first fish. He thought it was fascinating.

This was the only shot of Parker looking up at the camera. He did want to take his eyes off of the fish.
Amy's first fish.

This is as close as she was going to get to that fish. It was still flipping around pretty good.

We caught 5 fish total. Amy caught 3 and Parker caught 2. The limit was 3 each so they did pretty good. Fresh fish for dinner, Amy said she can't wait.

Yummy. That looks like it was fun.
What a fun day! You'll have to let me know next time they do it. I hope everyone likes fish!!
That sounds like a lot of fun; especially since we Orrs don't have much luck with fishing!
We'll have to take the kids fishing next time we're together. Did you and David fish too?
YUM! I LOVE Fish! I want to take the kids fishing...
